Simply scroll down: your revitalised wardrobe awaits!
STYLE TIP #1: SHOULDER-LOVING JACKETS
I’ll let you into a little secret, wearing your favourite jacket or coat over your shoulders is the go-to style tip to instantly make your outfit look like you’ve come straight from a FROW fashion show in Paris.
Putting a form of outerwear over your shoulders makes your outfit look richer and more luxurious, and of course is easy to put on and take off. This style tip also looks incredibly sweet over a cocktail dress or an LBD on a night out for a mature evening appeal. For the upcoming season, I’d specifically recommend draping blazers, trench coats or a khaki bomber jacket over your glamourous shoulders.
STYLE TIP #2: DECORATION SCARF
Besides having connotations of only being suitable for the winter season or only being worn for practical motives, scarfs should have more recognition outside of these reasoning: they can also make for a very fashionable accessory and add a finishing stylish touch to any outfit. Enough so to perhaps even replace a necklace or a bracelet.
Adding an element of drama to your outfit this season wouldn’t go amiss with a long over-sized wrapped around your neck and draped across your shoulder, would it? Even better if it has an interesting print or pattern. Or if a more sophisticated look is what you’re after, try sporting a silk neckerchief. Not only could this become your new statement necklace, but also make you appear incredibly chic instantly.

STYLE TIP #3: THE FRONT TUCK
Next time you wear any kind of top that hangs over your bottom item of clothing, tuck half of it in. BAM! Did I just see your super chic white silk blouse half tucked into your three quarter length slim black suit trouser beauty walk straight out of a LFW event?
If you want to add dimension and originality to your style try playing with proportions. Tucking in the front of your chosen sweater or shirt into your waistband is great to experiment with and easily generates an effortlessly-cool hip look about you.
From just tucking in the front of your shirt and leaving out the back, tucking your top in all the way around or simply tucking only the front one side of your sweater for that instantly provides an edgy/casual fashionable appeal. By doing this you’re instantly pulling your ensemble together for a professional look that shows anyone walking by that you undeniably know how to style your clothes.
STYLE TIP #4: CONNECT TWO
Dressing all in black is something we all can admit too, and as much as we love it and know how much monochromatic styling can make a big impact, it’s always good to open our minds and wardrobes up to enhancing this one-colour-only look.
Right now, it’s all about a style hack called ‘connect two’: pulling off a statement colour in your outfit but with fewer items. Perhaps this could be a shirt and jacket of the same colour, while the rest of your look consists of other shades, or your shoes and handbag, or jeans and coat – anything you fancy being creative with.
The best way to rock this stylish ethos is to ensure the rest of your outfit consists of neutral hues, you’re your statement colour-matching pieces are the only items doing the talking. Not only will doing this make your outfit look fashionable and well thought out, but also provides a creative dimension.

STYLE TIP #5: RIPPED JEANS
A girl should have at least three pairs of jeans in her wardrobe, one of them being of a ripped standard. You can never go wrong with a pair of ripped jeans – whether that be horizontal slits at the knees, slight distressed fraying or heavily ripped tears.
Ripped jeans are a great style staple, not only are they incredible versatile that can be dressed up or down, but also are a timeless classic, which adds a high-end factor to your denim repertoire. Boyfriend jeans are a current type of jean that look especially stylish with a pair of nude court heels or even some slip-on pumps.

STYLE TIP #6: EMPHASISING THE WAISTLINE
Sure belts are made conventionally for the hooks in your jeans, but who follows conventional fashion all the time anyway? Belts can also look great when used to create a cinched in waistline, lifting your outfit to a new height of sophistication, all the while highlighting your fantastic figure.
As well as being used as a tool to emphasise your body shape and generating a visual lead-in to make your outfit appear even more flattering, belts should be tied around the waist over coats, blazers, dresses, jackets and sweaters.
Why not try draping an over-sized scarf over your arms and long sleeve roll neck sweater and fixing it in place around your waist with a chunky belt? If you’re feeling even more creative, try replacing your belt with a strip of ribbon.
STYLE TIP #7: LAYERING, LAYERING, LAYERING
Layering seems like an obvious candidate for this list, yet you’ll be surprised at how this method of combining an outfit can become the perfect way to utilise all the clothes in your wardrobe and even make them look brand new and stylish.
Especially when you’re on a tight budget and have to wait until the next pay day to go on another one of your shopping splurges, layering up clothes correctly can be a life-saver for those “I don’t know what you wear” days.
Plus, you’ve most likely got all the essential garments in your closet already that make for a great layered look – from a black lace bra under a slightly unbuttoned blue button shirt, combined with a grey knitted cardigan and a slick black leather jacket. Or perhaps even something as simple as putting a crisp white button shirt under a loose-fitted grey sweater, which never fails and always looks elegant.
STYLE TIP #8: ROLLED UP JEANS
Jeans. We have multiple pairs of them and wear them on a daily basis. So you have no excuse for the next time you slip a par on, to try rolling up the hem line – you won’t regret it!
Such a simple move, yet can transform a crinkled ankle situation, into a vision of stylish tailoring and Parisian flare. Better still, can make a much loved and highly worn pair look new and expensive. This timeless style hack is worn by many celebrities and FROW-worthy fashionistas alike, from Alexa Chung to Sincerely Jules.
Different forms of jeans paired with different types of turned up hems can leave you walking out of your house in a super effortlessly fashionable state of mind – whether that be a light-wash and ripped boyfriend jean with a half undone cuff; or a skinny dark-wash jean with a refined traditional thin cuff.
